Catherine Opie is one of my favorite photographers. She stands for peace and harmony with and within the queer community of American society. I first encountered her work at her exhibit “Catherine Opie: American Photographer” at the Guggenheim in New York City. Here is an image of her son growing up in the gender neutral environment she has provided for him. Check her out.
